2013 Barrister- Bacchus Vineyard, Syrah

Produced from old vines planted in 1993, at the Bacchus Vineyard, this Syrah has a deep, dark purple color indicative of the intensity to come. This wine is full bodied with an enticing bouquet of dark berry jam, ripe plum, espresso and a smoky spiciness borrowed from a touch of Hungarian oak. The rich aroma gives way to flavors of blackberry and black currants. In Barrister’s signature style, this Syrah has great texture with gentle tannins and a rich, silky mouthfeel. 91% Syrah and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon from Bacchus Vineyard.
